Pannikin Building, 675 G Street, San Diego, California 92101
The
Pannikin Building is located at the corner of Sixth and G Street, adjacent
to the bustling Gaslamp Quarter, and has direct exposure to both commercial
and residential clientele.
The property consists of two buildings owned in a joint venture with the OliverMcMillan
Company. The first building is a single-story building originally constructed
in 1888, whose past occupants included J.S. Harbison for whom the local Harbison
Canyon is named. Harbison stocked and shipped honey throughout the nation and
maintained a wholesale grocery company through 1906. The second building, constructed
in 1909, is considered one of the few remaining, nearly unaltered, turn-of-the-century
commercial structures in this part of the downtown area.
