Felipe Torres, Building Maintenance
 Felipe
Torres has worked at Carleton Management since the company's inception. He
handles construction repairs, tenant improvements and remodeling. Felipe began
his career at Carleton's predecessor company, Ratner Clothing Corp., in 1970
as a maintenance mechanic.
Felipe was a leader of Amalgamated Textile Workers of America, Local
288. He served as president, vice president, treasurer and
board member, and also as a delegate to the San Diego-Imperial Counties Labor
Council. He served on the Board of Trustees of the Labor Council for Latin
American Advancement.
Felipe was also a member of National Council of La Raza, a national Latino civil
rights and advocacy organization and he cofounded the San Diego chapter of
the American Electrical Engineers Association.
Felipe
attended
school in Mexico and took courses at San Diego Mesa College. He lives in San
Diego. He is married and has seven children and seven
grandchildren.
